You’ll see real examples from the current Egyptian dance scene, explore the popular music of Cairo night clubs, watch the dancers shaping the art form today, and gather inspiration from the latest costume trends, energy, and performances.

"Jordone is a Bay Area performer specializing in Egyptian dance, with a focus on staying connected to what’s happening in Cairo today. He spent a month in Egypt last summer attending multiple dance festivals, going out to nightclubs, and dancing alongside locals — experiences that continue to shape how he approaches the dance. He has studied with renowned Egyptian artists including Tito Seif, Mohammed Shahin, Kareem Gad, Zara, and Nada El Masriya, among many others. His work is grounded in a deep respect for the culture, with an emphasis on representing the music, style, and feeling of Egyptian dance in a way that feels current, informed, and recognizable to people from the culture while adding his own style and flare."
